Tracks in the carpet

Hey Everyone,
We had a great anniversary party. The Lord has blessed us with great friends. Some couldn't make it, but we know they were with us in spirit.
It's taken me a couple of days to recover from all the busyness of last week. I've also caught a 'bug', but it's not bad.
It was great having our family together. It's the first time since Christmas. Our 'grands' are growing so quickly. It was cute to watch Nolan and Nate play together. They hugged each other before they left. This grandma's heart was so blessed!
When Lynn was here this weekend, she told me a story about herself. She was helping me to vacuum the house before guests arrived. She said that when we was younger, on Sat. mornings when we would clean the house, she would pretend that she vacuumed our bedroom.
One day her critical thinking kicked in. She had been running the vacuum over the floor to give it 'marks' so I'd think she had vacuumed. Then she realized that she had 'vacuumed' the floor, just without the machine turned on! What a hoot. Kids.
I thought how we as Christians 'play' at being obedient, but really aren't. On the outside we look good, but on the inside we're not. We have to be careful and remember that God looks on the heart, while man looks on the outside (1 Sam. 16:7). We need to be careful and not be counterfeit Christians.
The Lord wants us to be honest, true, moral, loving, giving.....you get the idea. So, do you make tracks in the carpet, but don't really vacuum?

Vacuuming daily,
Sandy
