Isaiah 42:7

Monday Greetings,
Another wonderful sunny day. I hope you all had a good weekend. We were able to get some things done outside. We got a place made for the bird bath, but so far, no birds! There are birds around here, just none of them has figured out it's a bath for them.
I was supposed to have my first discipleship with Sandy today, but she called and her daughter was sick. I haven't been able to meet with her at all and give her the information that the evil ones will use things like sick children to keep the disciple from getting to their appointment. She wants to come next week, so everyone, please keep Sandy in prayer so that nothing will hinder her coming. She really needs discipleship. THANKS!
We had an interesting time at the prison on Saturday night. Just as we were finishing up a wonderful evening of listening to Michael Ginn and praying with 2 guys to accept the Lord and 5 re dedicated, Chuck found out that his wallet was missing!!!
So, the guys had to be taken to the gym and searched and the chapel was searched, even the garbage. Meanwhile, Chuck was able to get a hold of our son and have Josh go to our home and thankfully, the wallet was here. So, at 9:30 we were finally able to head home.
Chuck would do anything rather then offend someone and he felt like that's what he has done. He was able to apologize to the watch commander and some of the guys, but he feels so bad. Thankfully the guys are used to having searches done and they really didn't think much of it.
There's more to the story, but nothing earth shattering. The core believer's and the Sargent Jim (who's a believer) handled everything really well and we had lots of prayer opportunities.
I chose this scripture because of the guys that came forward Saturday night. Isaiah 42:7 "open eyes that are blind, to free captives from prison and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness."
These guys live in a black hole (prison), but the Lord opened their eyes as Michael shared from the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7). They aren't 'free' from prison, but they are free from the prison of sin. 2 trusted Him and found salvation's freedom. The other 5 found Him again in their re dedication. These guys had been sitting in darkness, and the Lord set them free.
Are you sitting in darkness? Do you need to be set free from something, a sin, thought pattern, habit(s)? Only in Him will you find freedom, freedom in Christ. The Lord promises throughout scripture that He will set us free, open blind eyes and provide when we trust Him.

Set free,
Sandy
